Anxious Attachment: Self-Work Course

Welcome — I’m so glad you’re here

If you live with anxious attachment, you already know how exhausting it can be to chase reassurance, silence the “what-ifs,” and wonder why the same patterns keep circling back. This course is your guided space to change that. Together we’ll build the single most important relationship you’ll ever have — the one with yourself — so you can meet life’s triggers from a place of inner steadiness rather than survival mode.

Over the next eight sections you’ll learn, step-by-step, to

  • Access the emotions hiding under anxiety and anger

  • Validate those feelings instead of shaming or outrunning them

  • Listen for the specific comfort, change, or safety each feeling is asking for

  • Support yourself in real time and ask for support from others with calm, clear assertion

A quick roadmap

  1. Sections 1-3: Access and validate anger, fear, and sadness

  2. Sections 4-6: Slow each feeling down and listen for its needs

  3. Section 7: Build a toolbox of self-support strategies

  4. Section 8: Translate your new self-security into healthier communication with partners and loved ones

Before we begin, I want to say one thing clearly:

No feeling is too much.
Every pause to reflect, breathe, or write is progress.
And the fact that you’re here means you already have the courage it takes to change.

I’m honored to walk this path with you. Let’s begin.

What you’ll learn

Feel & Validate Your Own Emotions
  • You’ll learn to slow anxiety down, reach the sadness, fear, or anger it’s protecting, and give those feelings the steady “You make sense” they’ve always needed. When you can hold your emotions instead of fleeing them, you create a secure home inside yourself.

Calm Your Nervous System in Real Time
  • We’ll practice quick, body-based tools—4-7-8 breathing, progressive relaxation, and “orienting” through your five senses—that tell your brain and body, “I’m safe.” These techniques turn potential spirals into grounding moments where you stay present and choose a healthier response.

Communicate Needs Without Triggering Cycles.
  • Once you’re regulated, I’ll guide you step-by-step through speaking from vulnerability, timing hard conversations, and taking turns so both partners feel heard. These skills transform anxious protest into clear, confident requests that pull your relationship closer instead of pushing it away.

Course FAQ

  • The course is entirely self-paced. Most students spend about 4–6 weeks moving through the ten chapters—roughly one lesson per week—so they have time to watch the videos, practice the exercises, and journal. You’re welcome to move faster or slower; the material will remain available to you indefinitely.

  • No prior knowledge is required. Each lesson starts with plain-language explanations and real-life examples before introducing deeper concepts and practices. Whether you’re brand-new to attachment work or have read every book on the shelf, you’ll find actionable tools you can apply immediately.

  • Think of the course as an educational coaching experience: it provides research-based information, reflection prompts, and regulation strategies to strengthen your emotional security. It does not replace one-on-one mental-health treatment. If you ever feel stuck or overwhelmed, consider seeking support from a qualified professional in your area.
